Comprehensive Soot & Smoke Cleanup

Fire damage is complex. You have the charring from the flames, the water damage from the hoses, and the pervasive smoke damage. We specialize in smoke damage cleaning and soot removal from walls and ceilings. Different types of fires (protein, wood, plastic) create different types of smoke webs. We match the cleaning chemical to the type of soot to prevent smearing and permanent staining.

The Science of Deodorization

Masking the smell with air fresheners doesn't work. The smoke odor particles are embedded in the pores of your wood and drywall. We use ozone treatment for smoke odor and thermal fogging to penetrate these materials. This process breaks down the odor-causing molecules, ensuring that "smokey smell" doesn't return on hot, humid days months later.

Structure & Content Protection

We offer fire damaged content cleaning and pack out. We carefully inventory, wrap, and transport your salvageable belongings to our facility for ultrasonic cleaning and ozone treatment. Meanwhile, on-site, we perform fire damage roof tarp services to protect your open home from the elements while the interior restoration begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can you remove smoke stains from brick? Yes. We use specialized latex soot sponges and heavy-duty degreasers to pull soot out of porous brick fireplaces and walls.
  • What is a "board up"? If the fire broke windows or burned through the roof, we install plywood boards and tarps to secure the property against looters and weather.
  • How do you clean clothes that smell like smoke? We work with specialized textile restoration dry cleaners who use ozone washing processes to remove the odor from clothing and linens.
  • Do you handle the rebuild? We work closely with licensed fire damage repair contractors to transition seamlessly from the cleanup phase to the reconstruction phase.
  • Why does the smoke smell come back? If the structure wasn't sealed or if charred wood wasn't removed/encapsulated, the smell can return. We use sealants to "lock in" any remaining odor on structural framing.Call 24/7: Get an Immediate Crew On-Site

Squaw Valley, CA Insights: Population,
Zip Codes, Influence, and Service Areas

By 1942, Wayne Poulsen, a former star skier from the University of Nevada, had acquired 2,000 acres (810 ha) in the valley from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Poulsen met Alex Cushing, a Harvard University-trained lawyer, in 1946 while Cushing was vacationing at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. During his vacation, Cushing toured the valley at Poulsen's invitation and decided to invest in building a ski resort there. Unlike Poulsen, Cushing had the political connections and access to the capital necessary to create a ski resort. In June 1948, the two founded the Squaw Valley Development Company and Cushing replaced Poulsen as president of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation by October 1949. Squaw Valley Ski Resort opened on Thanksgiving Day 1949. The resort was constructed with $400,000 raised by Cushing, including $150,000 of his own money. The creation of the Squaw Valley Development Corporation and Squaw Valley Ski Resort mark the modern era of the valley.
